Trade Services

Everything between order and discharge.

Most import problems are not sourcing problems. They are documentation, classification, freight and finance problems. WIDEKHAN handles the whole chain so there is one counterparty accountable for the outcome.

What We Do

Seven services, one contract.

Take them as a package or use only the parts you need — several of our customers buy the goods elsewhere and use us purely for execution.

01

Sourcing & procurement

Identifying and qualifying producers against your specification, negotiating on your behalf, and consolidating multi-product orders into a single shipment where the economics work.

02

Export & import agency

Acting as exporter of record from origin or importer of record at destination, including entities and licences that a foreign buyer cannot easily hold directly.

03

Freight & logistics

Ocean, air and inland movement booked through our forwarding partners — including hazardous cargo, temperature-sensitive lots and bulk vessel chartering.

04

Trade finance structuring

Letters of credit, documentary collection, standby instruments and open-account terms arranged with our banking partners against the risk profile of the trade.

05

Regulatory & documentation

SDS, CoA, certificates of origin, phytosanitary and health certificates, HS classification, chemical registration and destination-country labelling.

06

Warehousing & repacking

Bonded and general storage, call-off inventory close to your plant, repacking into your preferred format and private-label configuration.

07

Stock-holding & ex-stock supply

We buy for our own account and hold inventory of the products our customers repeat on. Ex-stock orders dispatch in days instead of waiting on the next sailing, and buffer-stock or consignment programmes can be agreed for materials your line cannot afford to run out of.

Commercial Terms

We trade on the terms you already work with.

Incoterms® 2020 throughout. If you have a standard purchase contract, we will work from yours rather than insisting on ours.

EXW
FCA

Buyer-controlled freight

You nominate the carrier
Goods made available at the producer's works or handed to your nominated forwarder. Suitable where you already have competitive freight contracts.
FOB
FAS

Origin port delivery

Most common for bulk
We deliver and load at the origin port; ocean freight and insurance sit with you. The default basis for grain and bulk chemical cargoes.
CFR
CIF

Destination port delivery

Freight included
We arrange and pay ocean freight — and marine insurance under CIF — to your named discharge port. Preferred where you want a single landed number.
DAP
DDP

Door delivery

Fully landed
Delivered to your facility, with import clearance and duties included under DDP. Used where you want no customs exposure at all.
Payment

Structured to the relationship.

First trades and long-standing accounts should not carry the same terms. Ours move as the relationship does.

Letter of Credit — L/C at sight or usance

Irrevocable documentary credit through a first-class bank. The standard basis for first transactions and for higher-value bulk cargoes.

Telegraphic Transfer — T/T

Advance payment in part or in full, or a deposit-plus-balance structure against shipping documents. Fastest to execute for repeat spot business.

Documentary Collection — D/P, D/A

Documents released against payment or acceptance through the banking channel, for counterparties with an established record.

Open account & credit terms

Net terms for established customers, supported by credit insurance where the exposure warrants it.

Single Accountability

One counterparty, not five.

The usual import chain has a supplier, an agent, a forwarder, a customs broker and a bank — and when something slips, each points at the next one.

We take the whole span as one contract. If the cargo is late, the classification is wrong, or the documents will not clear, there is one company to call and one company answerable for the fix. That is the practical reason most of our customers consolidate their sourcing with us rather than tendering each shipment.

Have a shipment that keeps going wrong?

Tell us where it breaks — sourcing, freight, clearance or finance — and we will tell you honestly whether we can fix it.
